Our greenhouse, open April 1st, is a place for beginners as well as plant collectors. Best known for our exotic, “hard-to-find” plants, we have also accumulated a plant collection over the last 25 years which includes unusual geraniums, tropicals, perennials, herbs, begonias, tender salvias, coleus’ cacti and sedums, and more. We also raise heirloom and ethnic vegetables, hanging gardens, flowering vines, small shrubs, unusual flowering containers, hanging baskets, and plants just for kids. Gardeners travel for miles to benefit from The Bench Greenhouse Girls’ extensive gardening knowledge and expertise, from flower varieties, plant care tips, design suggestions, solutions to common gardening problems, and more. Our plants can be seen growing at the Toledo Zoo, the Toledo Botanical Garden (Herb Garden, raised bed, and Blair Garden), and Schedel Gardens. You will also find our plants available at the Toledo Zoo’s Annual Plant Sale and at the Toledo Botanical Garden’s Spring Plant Sale in May. |
